ENTM: Task 5

The previous tasks have tested your limits, and shown use your strengths.
Now it's time to see the whole picture.
Who are you as a model, and do you have what it takes to make it?

Your task this week it to create a portfolio of 3-6 sceneries and a head shot. It should be one page, and in a direct link. It should also have your name and user name on it. Be as creative as possible in presenting these works to your advantage. Once you have completed your portfolio, put the link in the comments of this post.

Your portfolio will be sent out to 3 Go-sees who will critique your work, and give you advice on how to make it in the industry.

The three go-sees are:

Brunoexclusive (Bruno)

They all work in various parts of the modeling industry, and/or have had previous experience critiquing and giving advice to help models thrive.

The model with the best "rating" from the go-sees and the judges will be the task winner. The one with the lowest rating will be going home, and will not be traveling with the top three.

Happy New Year everyone! 

There was some confusion around the last task. I looked back at it, and I guess it is a bit of a puzzle. But all the pieces are there that are needed to put the task together. It was a 2 part task, of a make-over, and runway. 3 out of 5 of the contestants missed the runway part.

Every model misreads a task in their career, but it is not without repercussion.

The judges and I have unanimously decided that the task winner this week is....

X-x-perfect-x-x: I understand that you did a redo of the task, but unfortunately it does not count. Re-dos are only allowed with permission, before any judging has started. Therefore we can only go off of your original scenery. Your scenery took the simple approach, but was it too simple?

Iovanca: You did understand that the task was a runway, but what were you selling? Roses? That was the part of the task you lacked. Your scenery did not look like a runway, and we could not see what you were selling.

Rockinellee: Despite your misreading of the task, all the judges thought you made a stunning beauty shoot. We almost forgot that that wasn't the task. Almost.

Rockinellee you are SAFE.
Your misread was a mistake, and you did excellently with what you thought the task was. Please do not make that mistake again.

Iovanca you are SAFE.
Modeling is almost always about selling something. The first line of the task said it's not about sitting there and looking pretty, yet that's exactly what you did! The judges have been disappointed with your sceneries the last 2 tasks. You need to step up your game if you're in it to win it.

We could see that you were improving in the competition, but this week was just too big of a step down. You will be missed. I hope that you have had a valuable experience in this competition.

Elimination 3 & Task 4

This post is long overdue. 

I'm sure many of you have forgotten the task, so here is a little refresher. 

The remaining 6 contestants had to create a scenery depicting an important issue in the world. The contestants were free to chose which ever issue they pleased, and there choices were very inspiring and emotional.

I'm sorry to see you go, but me and the other judges just did not feel enough emotion from your scenery. Please read the comments on your scenery page for more critiques. You have a done a great job in this competition, and you should be proud! I hope you leave knowing that you have learned something.

Task 4

-Runway-

Being a model is much more than just sitting still and looking pretty. It's about selling a product, and being adaptable.  

If you've ever seen a cycle of ANTM you'll know that the time always comes for makeovers. There's always tears shed for lost hair. But on stardoll, fear not, that hair can grow back in a second!

For this task you must change up your look. Try a new hair style and color or mess around with new make-up! In the comments of your scenery show a before and after of your look.

The scenery you make this week must depict a runway. You are the star model, and you must sell the look. You may create a story around it if you like, but most importantly you much create a sell-worthy look, and display it in the best possible way.

This task was all about inspiration and posing.

LuxeHolly & LoveGossip4Life have both decided to leave the competition.

At this rate the winner will simply be the last one standing.

Task 3 

Issues. 

We all have them. The world has them. Oh so many of them. 

For this task you will chose an issue (abortion, deforestation, war, etc...) and, if applicable, take a pro or con stance on it. Make a scenery showing this stance/issue in a way that is still tasteful and editorial.

We have all seen how amazing you all are at making sceneries and posing(keep it up!), now we want to see your concepts and your stories as well.

You have until the 22nd.

Kharma Fashion Week

I'm sure we all love & miss Stardoll fashion week. It was an event where everyone's talents were shown, and all of dollywood came together. It was run by a great writer for this blog Becka (Psychotic-Freak). It's a lot of work to put something so extravagant together, and it left shoe big shoes to be filled. Only a few were capable of stepping up to the challenge. 

One of those who did was Kharma Empire. Formally owned by Linus (Dog_boy96), and now owned by BrunoExclusive with the help of LadyGagaMcQueen. As we speak, the making of Kharma Fashion Week is in the works.

The 9th contestant, Gabby1822, has decided to leave stardoll, and is therefore out of the competition. It is unfortunate, but lucky for our contestants this week, because this mean that no one will be eliminated.We will continue on with 8 contestants, but remember, only one can win.

But for those of you who found your selves low in the standings, PLEASE take this as a warning. Take all the advice the judges gave you (Maggie could not judge all the sceneries because she was having computer issues) and work extra hard on your next task. 

Task 2

Super model Coco Rocha is not only known for her striking face, but also for striking poses.

 While judging the first task, one major thing I and the other judges noticed was that some of the poses seemed unrealistic. When basing your pose off of a photograph, it is almost impossible for that to happen. That is why this week we will be doing just that. We will be taking inspiration for the ever talented Coco Rocha.

The following 10 pictures are the only pictures you may use for inspiration. No two people can use the same picture. It is first come first severe. Reserve your picture by commenting which number picture you want in the comments of this post. Once I see that you have reserved a picture I will add your name to the caption of it.

 Once you have chosen a picture, you must try to recreate the pose to the best of your abilities. The styling, and setting, however, is totally up to you. Have fun with it, and maybe come up with your own story!

ENTM: Task 1

 One of the most important parts of a scenery is the inspiration. And in the case of ENTM, that means the task. One of the beauties of a NTM competition is that everyone is given the same task, but somehow ends up with such different and unique sceneries in the end. since the inspiration is so important, a bad, poorly thought out task can lead to a bad scenery. This is where I come in. I have run 2 successful cycles of a modeling competition, and I hope to make this the third. It is my job to provide the best, most inspiring tasks that I can.  

Without further ado, I present to you the very first task in ENTM history.

 In the early 20th century the impressionists changed the way we see art forever. They painted "en plein air" and painted their impression of things. They cultivated movement and emotion in their works. Although deeply criticized at first, they are now seen as some of the greatest artists in history. For this task I want you to make a scenery inspired the impressionists, and everything they strived to create. You can do this by turing one of their works into a scenery, or generally incorporating their works into a scenery.

Make your scenery in the club ModelingWorld. Include "task 1" in the title of your scenery. You must include yourself in this scenery. A pose is required. Please print screen your work before you save it, and put the link in the comment section. Please give a description of your entry in the comment section. You have until the 27th to submit your entry.

The task winner's scenery will be featured on one of stardoll's most popular blogs Memoires of a Medoll. So work hard, and give this task a lot of thought. Don't be afraid to ask me questions.
