Final Task

Sydney (Starsyd3333), is the cycle two winner of Miss Top Model, and will be a judge for the next big thing: Editorialized's Next Top Model. But no one simply gets handed these things. She had to work her way to the top, and it was not all up hill. Let's take a look at her journey.

L: Let’s start from the beginning. How did you find out about stardoll, and what has kept you on it?

S: Hmmm, well, it was actually a friend who told me about it. We were maybe 10 or 11 and loved dressing up our own, and each other's dolls. I remember we would use the Stardoll chat to communicate, but we eventually drifted apart. The only reason I got on Stardoll was mainly for communication with her and other friends. When they were gone, I didn't know what to do, but I eventually found these modeling clubs and joined one. When I won the first one, I became active in more and more. So, I guess what has kept me here is making sceneries.

L: How did you develop your talent for sceneries?

S: I wasn't really into the "dollywood" part of Stardoll, but one day I heard about someone who was considered an elite. It was actually bluegreen86, who we all know owns probably the biggest modeling competition on Stardoll. I looked through the sceneries and found all these different poses and wanted to create amazing sceneries such as the ones I saw in that club. I experimented a lot, and failed quite a few times, but I grew better and better. Joining competitions helped, because they pointed out problems that I didn't see. Actually winning the competitions boosted my confidence to join more.

 L: You were a contestant in cycle one, and were eliminated early. What made you determined to be a part of cycle 2?
S: Anyone who knows me knows I am a very determined person, and along with that competitive. I feel like in cycle 1 I left on a bad note. I didn't want to be thought of as that person easily picked off in the beginning, and never truly leaving my mark. I wanted to redeem myself, I guess you could say. This time, I wanted to leave remembered.

L: What was your favorite task from the cycle?
S: Most likely the music task, but not just 'cause I won it! I love music in general. Along with music, I am sort of a poetry junky. I like listening to a song and figuring out what is meant behind the lyrics. I feel like I look at things in a different way. The task gave me a chance to show my interpretation visually, which is a way I have never done before.  (see scenery below)

L: Where do you get your inspiration from?
S:  My life. In most of my sceneries you can find an aspect of my life, even if it is really hard to find. I feel like by adding a piece of my life to each of my sceneries, it makes it more real. It adds that spark that every scenery needs.

L: Do you have any future goals for your stardoll life?
S: I might try to write for a blog or create one of my own since I love writing so much. I read all of these amazing posts from writers on Stardoll blogs, and I see how inspiring just there words and opinions can be. Words are very powerful and can leave an impact on someones life. So, I guess my goal would be to leave an impact. Not only here on Stardoll, but also in real life.

Inspired by a raindrop

L: What advice would you give to aspiring models?
S: I know you will probably here this a thousand times from a million different people, but it is true. Don't give up. You need to keep trying and practicing. I'm into basketball, so I am going to give a sports related metaphor. When I first started, I couldn't do a thing. I couldn't shoot the ball, dribble it, or run up and down the court without tripping over my own feet, but I practiced. I shot 50 free throws each night, I started doing laps at the track, and joined the local rec team. Three years later, I'm a starter for my high school team. Hard work and effort DO pay off, so don't give up.

Melinda: Taking the modeling industry by storm!

Some how I accidentally published this post when it was incomplete, so I've be added more stuff to it. Sorry, I don't know how that happened!

 

.Naima (better known as Melinda), has been taking the modeling industry by storm! She recently won itgonnarain's comp SNTM.XX and my comp MTM. She is very talented, but let's take a look at how it all began: 

How and why did you get involved in stardoll modeling? Well, when I became a member on Stardoll it was for the fashion and the fun. I didn't know that there were clubs being about modeling and I wasn't sure what it meant to be a model. I joined MelsModels as well as SNTM.XX and I looked around the club sceneries(in SNTM.XX). It was the end of cycle 4. One of Bonitababy's final sceneries and I fell in love! After I found out that you have to hide the body parts(I saw it in a glitched scenery), I joined many many modeling clubs to gain experience. And now... Here I am :)

-All of your sceneries are very unique, and creative, where do you draw inspiration from? Well, first of all, thank you very much! Secondly, I draw inspiration from everywhere. I have a folder on my laptop in which I have tons and tons of fashion pictures. I see poses as well as themes that I stray my inspiration from. I also love to use real art and visit a museum. There are many artists that inspire me, such as Salvador Dalí, Steven Meisel, Tim Walker ect. Nature or just people on the street, music, my friend or a good movie all these things can be inspirational.

-You are the "revolutionary" leader of the body tilt pose, how did you think to do that?I actually didn't really plan on doing a body tilt. But I can tell you how it all started! Once upon a time there was a little girl named Melinda. She was dreaming about being a model in the famous club MelsModels. So she auditioned. And made it to the Callbacks. She had to do a scenery that could get her through to the final girls. So she was going through her book of Salvador Dalí's art and found a beautiful picture. She decided to use the pose as inspiration and when she recreated it here on Stardoll she had to do a body tilt. That was the start of something new. And she lived happily ever after :)

-Do you have any advice for aspiring models? Don't try to be someone your not, just stay true to yourself! I am also owner of a modeling club and I see so many girls who say: 'I am unique, because..' I think that being yourself is the most inspiring thing, so don't try to be unique just be yourself! And be ambitious :D. Trying to become better with every scenery you do, trying out new poses are things that are a must! And what is most important: listen to what more experienced people tell you. -I have to thank you Lia, because I didn't round of my joints before you told me :)!

-Where do you see your self in the future in Dollywood? I would love to be on the cover of a magazine :). I started as a scenery-model, but now I want to be in more magazines and on the runway. That's my dream! I am already involved in some projects, but I always want to reach more and more :D. I would also love to become a writer for blogs. Or a blog to start with :P.

What's this? Tylerisbold presents a brand new modeling agency, Tyler's Top Models, which helps aspiring models get to the top.

Editorialized was lucky enough to get an exclusive interview with Tyler himself, read on to see what it's all about!

Kylie: Hey Tyler! So as I’m sure a lot of people are wondering, what is Tyler up to next?

Tyler: Many different people know that I am on a press tour for Tyler's Top Trends. My blog means very much to me and I am excited to announce that I am expanding the brand, so to speak. Tyler's Top Models is set to launch this Thursday. It will be something new and something trendy (no pun intended).

Sounds super exciting! What made you begin Tyler’s Top Models?

It's nothing too special, but it's different... I wanted to start the modeling agency because I really wanted to give other people a chance to fulfill their Stardoll dreams. We have been seeing a lot of the same models in magazines lately and it is getting sad. Boring even. My agency is going to help aspiring models make it in this die hard industry. With my power and my existence, once you are signed with my agency - you will instantly be a top model.

Will this be a very exclusive agency? Will it be hard for models to get signed with it?

Lets put it this way. If you get signed with the agency, it is going to be an exclusive journey that will be made public. What goes on behind-the-scenes will be private obviously - but the models capabilities will be documented. This is an elite modeling agency, with that being said, yes it will be very hard to get in.

Ahh, well there is going to be some very lucky girls. Will you be hand picking models or will they have to apply to get in?

Both. If we discover you, we discover you. If you apply to become a model, of course my staff and I will be strict about if your application is valid or not. If you have "it', you have it!

What plans do you have it? Any competitions?

Competitions will come in the near future, but the agency is mainly a base for models to actually get featured in magazines and promotional photos. Like I said, if you work for my agency, then you are sure to get work as a model.

Do you think it will compare to other modeling agencies and clubs like Vanity Models and MelsModels?

I know it will. It is not a competition, it is not based off of one I should say. That's what sets it apart from traditional modeling competitions.
