Goodbye.

There's an odd sense of finality about writing your last post on a blog. I suppose it makes sense though, doesn't it?

I'm leaving Stardoll, I think I mentally decided this yesterday during English. It's been on my mind for a while, and I thought maybe Editorialized's Next Top Model or this blog would keep me here longer. It didn't.

I love dressing up, I love fashion and photography and I love being creative on this site. But to be honest I just feel like an idiot being here. And yeah, I've had some good times, but I'm a fifteen year old girl who spends her time and money on a website originally intended for 10 year olds. I can't believe that I used to care about being popular on this website. I can't believe I actually wanted to be famous on Stardoll.

As of right now, I will no longer be an active member in this community. I'm moving on and I don't want to look back.

As for this blog and the Next Top Model competition, I do want these to continue! To Lia, Linus and Maggie (or maybe even someone else), if you want to take over this blog and/or the comp tell me and I'll pass over ownership to you. :)

I had some good times, but Stardoll is boring and idiotic and I have better things to do.

I love all my friends so much, you know who you are: Maggie, Electra, Lia, Linus, Paulina, Nicole, Zoe, Vasia, Maria, Eva, Ruthie, Aba, Mary, Eva, Ashton, Noelle, Coco, Mary Kate, Ashley, and anyone else, love you so much <3 You're part of the reason I was actually here so long.

I'll log in every once and a while, but you can always find me on tumblr.

We LOVE You Elle!

Elle Fanning, the 13 years old sister of actress Dakota Fanning, is certainly the newest love of the fashion world! She's been seen modeling for quite many brands & magazines in the past year, but that's not enough yet. Now it is time for the next big feature with her, just look below.

Seeing this preview of Love's coming cover one can not do anything but to admire this young girl's sense for modeling and beauty! I shall now let the picture speak for itself, because as we all know a picture says more than a thousand words. What's your opinion of the cover & of Elle Fanning?

Editorialized's Next Top Model: Prizes and Judges

...And so it begins! Editorialized's Next Top Model is about to begin! Can you feel the excitement in the air? The anticipation?

All eliminations and tasks will take place on this blog, however, all sceneries will be made in the club Editorialized so that it will be easy to find and comment on sceneries. To join the club click here. Anyone wanting to participate in the cycle will have to join the club.

As well as that I must announce our two other judges. I'm not sure if we will have any more judges, but we may have a few guest judges along the way. Without further waiting our two judges will be the Queen of scenery posing, Liajm and the amazing Dog_Boy96! They are both writers of this blog and know a thing or two (or twenty) about modeling. ;)

And of course I must tell you the prize list! This list is subject to change and there may be a few more prizes to be added.
The current prizes include:

-A place in International Movement Models owned by FashionMan.
-A postion in a campaign and/or runway for Kharma owned by
Dog_boy96
-Modeling feature in Monster magazine owned by Wooldoor
-Interview and feature on Editorialized owned by missricopenguin

And there we have it! Applications will be open in the next day or so and soon enough cycle one of Editorialized's Next Top Model will begin!

International Movement Models

Modeling agencies are popping up everywhere it seems! The newest one to my knowledge is owned by FashionMan. and is called 'International Movement Models', not much information has been given out about it just yet, but he says it'll be more exciting than others and with some amazing opportunities.
It has an extensive list of clients including Dirty Magazine, Paradox by Hrly and Fashion By Selena Marilyn De Ville, so if you're an aspiring model who wants to be with an agency, click here

P.s; applications for Editorialized Next Top Model will be opened up soon!!

So Posh

Stardoll's newest magazine Posh, just released their first issue, and let me tell you: it does not disappoint! It was created 100% by Chace Clark from the graphics to the articles!

Rihanna Cole makes her cover girl debut with this issue, doesn't she look great?

Even though this issue is just stunning, I'm sure it was quite a lot of work. This is why Chace is looking for a few writers who know their stuff, and possibly one amazing graphic designer! If you fit the bill, I suggest you heard over to the blog (click on the word posh above) and apply!

What do you think of this magazine?

To sew, or not to sew...

Ever since I started sewing clothes, people have been avidly telling me that I should sew my own senior prom dress. I give them apprehensive looks sawing, "we'll see", but now that I think about it, it actually sounds like a cool project!

After look around Etsy.com for patterns all morning, I have found 5 patterns that I like, but they all have their ups and downs...

1
< This pattern is nice, simple, and elegant. But is it too casual for prom?

2
< This pattern would work great with chiffon - my favorite type of fabric - but is it too much, too princess-like, for prom?

3
< If I were to chose this pattern I would most likely make it without selves. I love the lace, and it has a nice vintage feel to it, but is it too old fashion?

4

< This one's classic. I like this pattern, but it's not really special, there's nothing too unique about it.

5
<I find this drawing to be just stunning! My only question is - will it look equally good in real life?

I simply cannot answer these questions for myself, so I am asking YOU to help me. Just answer in this nifty poll:

Thank you for helping (:

Could This Be You?

I've had this idea for a while and I think I'm going to do it, but it will be different to modelling competitions that you compete in in clubs. I'm currently looking for prizes so if you can help contact me on stardoll [missricopenguin] or skype [kylie.xx].

Stay tuned for more... ;)

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 Campaign

Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2011 campaign feature a long list of models including Isabeli FontanaLiu WenMaryna LinchukConstance JablonskiJac Jagaciak and Kate King. I quite like the simplicity in the fifth and the last shot, as I find a few of the others a bit busy.
What do you think of this campaign? Yay or nay??

Interview with Mel (Bluegreen86)

I think just about everyone is familiar with the name Bluegreen86? Is this safe to assume? We've all heard about her and her competition MelsModels, but lets dig deeper and gain a little incite into Mel herself.

L: Hello Mel, thank you for agreeing to be interviewed by Editorialized!
M: Hey Lia! Thanks for asking me to be a part of such a well established and exciting project.

L: This season of MelsModels was special because it was "New vs. Old", is there anything special planed for the next cycle?
M:  Yes, this cycle was one of my all time favorites! I adored getting to give old contestants a second chance, but it actually made everything so much harder since some of them had to be eliminated twice. In the future, I really don't know what to expect. I always take a break after a MelsModels finale and think about the future and what I want to do. It may include a MelsModels cycle and it may not. It takes a lot of time and energy to run the club to the expectations everyone has, and I will never give half my time and energy to conduct a mediocre cycle.

L: Many of the sceneries from this cycle have been featured on editorialized, has this been the most challenging and talent-filled cycle yet?
M: Yes it truly has been one of the best overall cycles. I say this because I could truly see every girl winning and I developed such strong emotional connections with the new girls and continued with my great relationships with my 'oldies'. Every elimination was a heartbreak!

L: Do you expect the next cycle to be even more fierce?
M: If I go on to hold another cycle I cannot possibly see how the talent would grow, but I do expect it! It seems every cycle the innovation and creation process expands into a more interesting and more shocking form!

L: How do you keep up with everything on stardoll, while juggling school and your real life?
M: It is hard to keep everything going just the way I like it, but I just have to always remind myself that stardoll is ultimately a game! i can't be choosing to spend time on here over time with family or friends, so I just try to keep my head on right. I love the people on here and I consider a good amount actual friends so that is why I keep coming back, but if doing homework or having dinner with my family keeps me from changing my outfit for a few days, I don't mind compromising!

L: You've been on stardoll a long time - has a lot changed?
M: Yes I have been on for almost three and a half years. To me, its crazy how much time I have spent on here! I remember my first few days and really almost everything has changed! There are the superficial changes like how rares now go for thousands when they used to be bought for 20sd or how clothes now cost us 20sd in the starplaza when the same dress may have been 5sd a few years ago, but there are also other ways this site has changed. This new 'generation' kind of seems more involved with getting attention and forgetting what this world is all about! Its about having fun and expressing yourself, and everyone needs to remember that!

L: Does stardoll still have the same hold for you as it did in it's early days?
M: Yes it certainly does. I came on here to dress up dolls and play with fashion and style. I use this site, and always have, as an outlet for experimenting with my creativity and ideas! I love to explore and stardoll allows me to do that beautifully.

L: What is your favorite part of stardoll?
M: The chances I get to meet and get to know people from almost any country in the world! I love becoming best friends with people from different states and continents! Its just crazy how much I have learned from everyone on here.

L: Besides your club, you're well known for your fashion. Where do you get your inspiration?
M: I really get inspired by the items or garments themselves! I let color, texture, size, shape, and fabric talk to me! I like experimenting and playing around until a look finally looks complete! To me it just happens organically and I love the process of creating my outfits. Its like therapy because it always calms me down!

L: Is there anything you think people should know about you?
M: I just want everyone to know that I am a normal person. When people come on this site they always picture the medoll and that makes people forget there is a real human operating the account, with a heart, and a brain, and feelings. Everyone needs to remember this about everyone on here. We all came here to have fun, not be cyber bullied. Its important to treat everyone on here like real people.

L: What advice do you have for aspiring models?
M: I would say never give up! Do as many competitions as you can, talk to as many magazine editors as you can, and always practice styling and posing your medoll in both your suite and sceneries! Rejection only makes you stronger and you learn most of your lessons in life from mistakes and mishaps, so just keep your head high and move on! You will be able to do all you want to do in life, if you believe you actually can!

L: Thank you for your time, it was great talking to you!
M: Thank you so much! I am so honored and proud to be a part of this [Blog].

PS: The final sceneries for MelsModels have been submitted:

Linus' (.pease.) sceneries are on the left and Melinda's (.naima) sceneries are on the right

three more modeling opportunities;)

Once again, I've two more modeling opportunitys for you - THX to the Stardoll-Fashion-Week !!!
Here's the first one:

"A starbazaar fashion line, so different its fetch. It is the only collection out there that will be available to both non-superstars and superstars for the same price. We are working hard on different patterns for different styles. A spoiler and model applications will be coming out soon." - Sounds good;)

To apply you have to tell them your Real first name, your Username, and what what you think that makes you special... you also have to give them a Picture of your Dollface without MakeUp. So If you want to try your luck click here.

The second modeling opportunity is given you by ...
...the very first fashion line of Dei (To_Royal).

 - This is the first spoiler it looks promising, I think.
"This is Savage's first spoiler for the my very first line! I call it 'Askew Ways' because I think it is more an odd ball way to go to the beach but still being fabulous, edgy, and elegant, which is what I aim to accomplish." (Dei)

To apply as model for Savage click here and give your name (a bit strange that you should specify the full name), your Username, your Experience and a Picture of your Dollface without make-up and a special kind of hair, you also have to be follower of the blog!

Last but not least there's my very own and first fashion-line "extravagance"

I'm also searching for models and all you have to do is to post your Username here in the comments!

So good luck, I'll going to keep you up to date!

The Art of Underwater Sceneries

As I recently got updated about VanityModels newest task by the owner Findurlove I became oh-so excited. The task for this time was about underwater sceneries, something we're all familiar with on stardoll. When I today went back to the club to see what the contestants had gone for, I was very surprised by the many ways of doing an underwater scenery they had came up with, just look here:

.Naima went for a different angle in her scenery, how exciting!
Editorialized's own Liajm went for an upside-down pose.
Male-model JakeBurberry went for something more primitive.

You can click on the sceneries to see them better. There's so many ways of posing, decorating, styling and creating an underwater scenery! The limits are unlimited. What's your opinion of underwater sceneries? Have you ever tried it out?

VoltageModels, A New Way Of Modeling!

A few days back, I got a message from my friend Jack, aka. Freeduck_, saying that he's opened up a new modeling club & would love me to join! I instantly got interested. Only about half a year ago Jack had started up another modeling club which I was to judge for, unfortunately this one never started. Anyhow, out with the old & in with the new! VoltageModels is the newest, definitely most egdy & soon-to-be one of the grandest modeling competitions all over stardoll, with a price of 3000 stardollars alongside with others soon to be revealed prices, it is sure to become a hit.
The current judges is Jack himself, Selena aka. Ruubin as well as myself. So if you're an aspiring model who wants to get a foot into the modeling business of stardoll, or an experienced model who wants to compete for the glory, you can apply right here.

Modeling-Opportunity: Paradox by Hrly

Hello, everybody... There's one more modeling-oppotunity for you...!

(I really love the Graphic and when you click on the picture, the curtain opens
- great idea)

Paradox is a fashion house established on July 2010 by Hrly.
The first collection was later debuted in August 2010.
Here I show you some Pieces of the collections:
(Two pieces of the CRUISE-Collection 2011)

(Two pieces of the Fall/Winter 2011 - Collection)

To apply as model for the new and promising collection you simply have to write your Stardollname in the comments of THIS post

This application process is much more easier and effective than others I think, because you can convince your new client by a beautyful fresh Doll-Face and a uniqe Style and not by beeing famous and well-known.

So take your chance and apply as one of the new PARADOX-MODELS;)
Yours,
Lissy
